8 October 2018 - On 13 November the training course on identity and culture of Ravenna agricultural workers cooperation starts, organized by Promosagri, in collaboration with Legacoop Romagna, Federazione delle Cooperative della Provincia di Ravenna and Demetra Formazione.
This is a training activity for CABs, Agricultural Cooperatives Worker-owned, to grow the cooperative culture of the members starting from the youngest.
The course will consist of four mornings: over 13, 15, 20 and 23 November.
The first and the second will be conducted by Prof. Tito Menzani on "the identity of agricultural workers cooperation of Ravenna" and will deepen the cooperation in economic thought, the history of the CABs in Ravenna, the cooperative culture in the Ravenna and Italian agriculture.
The third with Prof. Roberto Fanfani, formerly Professor of Economic Policy at the Alma Mater Studiorum-University of Bologna and curator of the "2017 Report on the Agri-Food System of Emilia-Romagna", will focus on the agro-food system of the 'Emilia-Romagna, its components and the supply chain, the role of cooperation and the specificities of CABs, structural transformations and markets, the European context.
The latter will host the testimony of "senior" cooperators, Giovanni Monti, President of Legacoop Emilia-Romagna, and Lorenzo Cottignoli, President of the Federazione delle Cooperative della Provincia di Ravenna.
At the end the students will have the opportunity to participate in the celebrations of the 134th anniversary of the reclamation of the Roman coast brought, completed thanks to the work and sacrifice of the first 440 Ravenna laborers - women and men of the first cooperative of laborers of the world.
